25 Mar YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST: FLAME OF FIRE
Beloved in Christ, If you are born again, embrace your unparalleled identity in Him! But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9). This divine calling makes you a minister of God Himself. As Scripture declares, And of the angels He saith, Who maketh His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire (Hebrews 1:7).Consider Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who refused to bow to the idol despite King Nebuchadnezzar’s fury. He commanded the furnace heated “seven times more than it was wont to be heated” (Daniel 3:19). Yet they stood firm, anchored in their identity in God—the One who promises, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5). Each knew he was a “flame of fire,” and fire cannot consume fire! Astonished, the king cried out: Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? … Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God (Daniel 3:24-25).
PRAYER OF FIRE AND PROTECTION:
It is written: “Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?” (Proverbs 6:27). Just as the flames devoured those who cast Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego into the furnace because the king’s “commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot” (Daniel 3:22), so let every enemy who takes me into their bosom to harm me be consumed by fire!Anyone who seeks to oppress or suppress me shall burn, for “can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?” (Proverbs 6:28). My life is hid with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). I am a flame of fire, for “our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:29). In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
