Ministry Mandate
The Spirit of the LORD is upon; because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and the recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord (Luke 4:18-19).
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise ,as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”( 2 Peter 3:9).
C.H. Spurgeon said that, “Some are dead; you must rouse them
Some are troubled; you must comfort them.
Others are burdened; you must point them to the burden-bearer.
Still more are puzzled; you must enlighten them.
Still others are careless and indifferent;
You must warn and woo them.
Above all, evangelise them.”
Therefore said He unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth labourers into His harvest” (Luke 10:2). John Wesley said that, “I look upon all the world as my parish; thus far I mean, that in whatever part of it I am, I judge it meet, right, and my bounden duty to declare unto all that are willing to hear, the glad tidings of salvation.” and I likewise consider the world as my parish.
John Calvin said that, “The gospel does not fall from the clouds like rain by accident, But is brought by the hands of men to whom God has sent it”. And like Paul the Apostle, Soul Harvest Evangelistic Ministry boldly carries the mandate,” For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe unto me, if I preach not the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16).
The ministry evangelises the lost for Jesus Christ through the church, crusades,seminars,one on one and group evangelism, free gospel literatures, gospel messages, the internet and social media for the world is now a global village. The free gospel literatures are “Deliverance to the Captives” for like Apostle Paul said, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:13-15)
