THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS

Good morning, Beloved

I wish you a very Happy and Joyous celebration now and all the days of your life

The reason for this holiday and celebration is Christmas and I have decided to define Christmas with the knowledge and inspiration that the Almighty God has given me.

The word CHRISTMAS is divided into two namely CHRIST and MAS

✓ CHRIST :

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven (Mathew 16:13-17)

•Jesus Christ in the Son of the living God.

✓ M – MEDIATOR

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5)

As the Mediator He is the Link and Ladder

• The Link

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6)

When you want to get to a place the way acts as a link. Jesus Christ is the only link to God.

• The Ladder

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12)

This is simple and clear and when the Scripture say no other it means no other.

✓ A – ADVOCATE

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous (1 John 2:1).

It is impossible for a true believer to live in habitual sin, besetting sin, presumptuous sin and wilful sin however all unrighteousness is sin and there is a sin not unto death (1 John 5:17).

Thank God we have Jesus Christ our righteous Advocate and it is written that This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin (1 John 1:5-7)

✓ S -SAVIOUR

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:10-11)

Today I equally say to you fear not for it is written that For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved (John 3:17).

It is impossible for you to give your only most cherished and beloved possession to a worthless person who does not deserve or merit it. However, it is written that For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

If you are not yet born again don’t ever forget that The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9)

Repent and surrender your life to the Saviour Jesus Christ.
