No Discharge ,No Acquittal

No Discharge, No Acquittal :

Patients are discharged from hospitals when they get well, an accused standing before the judge in the court of law is declared not guilty, discharged and acquitted when there is no prima facie evidence that could be established against the person ,a worker is relieved from his duties when his services are no longer needed by the company or organization and in the armed forces a military personnel is discharged from active service or removed from the war front for different reasons. However the Bible talks about a war of which there is no discharge.
You must note that life itself is a battle and as a believer we are admonished that ,”Thou therefore endure hardship, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ, No man that warreth entangled himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath called him”(2 Timothy 2:3-4).

Life indeed is a battle, not only a battlefield but also a wrestling arena ,
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places “(Ephesians 6:12)
However, do not be afraid but be of good cheer because it is written in 2 Corinthians 10:3-4, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds).

With the warfare and wrestling on almost a daily basis one would have thought that after the victory one would not taste death like Enoch (Genesis 5:24) and Elijah (2 Kings 2:11) but that is impossible because the Scriptures tells us that, “There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it”(Ecclesiastes 8:8)
For clarity and the avoidance of confusion and doubt the Scriptures tells us clearly that,

“And as it appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment “(Hebrews 9:27)

In the military the penalty of treason is death and since life is a battlefield and we are engaged in a warfare it is written, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die… (Ezekiel 18:20a).
If the rapture does not take place in our time then everyone of us alive today will die one day, there is no leave, no transfer , discharge or acquittal from death ,it is an appointment that must be kept by both great and small, rich and poor, male and female.

The important question is where will you spend eternity ?Remember the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31) Prophet Moses said, “O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end”(Deuteronomy 32:29)As you read about the rich man and Lazarus have you considered that, “For what shall it profit a man a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul ?Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul”(Mark 8:36-37).
If you are still living in sin ,”…The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ye, and believe the gospel “(Mark 1:15).Tomorrow might be too late(……… :behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6.2a

If after hearing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ daily through different ways and the Holy Spirit have convicted you of your sin and you still harden your heart and refuse to repent and believe the gospel then you are “MAD” which is a term in military sociology as “Mutually Assured Destruction” , because if you die without repentance, without Jesus Christ your eternal punishment is assured.
