28 Aug LITTLE BY LITTLE
By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land (Exodus 23:30).
This is a living and practical word of truth from God Almighty for as it is written God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19).
It is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18) You need to understand that God has magnified His word above all His name (Psalm 138:2b) for it is written For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in Him was yea. For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us (2 Corinthians 1: 19-20).
In the past and recently I have encouraged some individuals with this message through WhatsApp depending on the situation such person was facing at that time. However, this message is more comprehensive and encompassing. Let us pray
✓ Prayer
Heavenly Father let your word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path to lead and guide us in the way we should go in Jesus name Amen.
✓ The Day of Small Things
For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth (Zechariah 4:10).
Yes, indeed For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him (2 Chronicles 16:9).
There is a Chinese proverb that says that “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”.
However, the Scripture puts it more beautifully and comforting for it is written that, Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase (Job 8:7).
When a child is born into the world there is a process of growth and the beginning starts small from infancy which involves crawling, sitting alone, beginning to stand with assistance, standing alone, walking and running. In the banking sectors we have the kid account, teen account and regular account, In the Christendom for example we have the children choir, youth choir and adult choir. It is a question of progression from one stage to another.
✓The Need for Patience
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain (James 5:7).
When I was growing up in Lagos Nigeria many years ago there was this radio jingle in Nigeria that says something like “They have all been identified, all enemies of this countries, smugglers, armed robbers and the get rich quick. Are you one of them? You better give it up now before it is too late”.
The smuggler, armed robber and get rich quick has one thing in common and that is the fact they despise the day of small things. When I read in the newspapers or online news of people been caught almost daily trying to smuggle drugs like cocaine, methamphetamines etc or having factories where hard drugs are produced or dealing in such, I marvel at the fact though they see people been caught at airports around the world and other areas and knowing the penalties for such crimes still go ahead and do the same thing because of the love of money which they believe will make them part of the strong financial social circle but most often than not they end up in prison if not given the death penalty.
For those who despise the day of small things it is written that As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool (Jeremiah 17:11).
✓From Small to Increase
The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children (Psalm 115:14).
This prayer is for you, your biological, adopted or children in the Lord. God Almighty will increase you all more and more but you must learn to do the right things, in the right way, at the right time and in the right place. Never do the right thing in the wrong way for you will definitely get the wrong result.
✓The Road to Increase
•The Work of your Hands:
The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow (Deuteronomy 28:12).
What is the work of your hands? What is your talent? For your as you spend time practicing your talent it will lead to your treasures. Do not tell me that you don’t have any job. Can you bake? sew? sing? farm? cook? etc ,then do it and be the best in whatever you do for It is written that Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest (Ecclesiastes 9:10).
• Diligent:
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men (Proverbs 22:29).
You have to be diligent and it means that you must be dedicated and not distracted, Loving and not lukewarm, Industrious and not idle, Informed and not ignorant, Growing and not grounded, Earnest and not erratic, Nice and not naughty, Truthful and not a tale bearer.
When you are diligent in your business God will bless the works of your hands and increase you on every side.
• You Must Be Born Again:
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3)
It is written that ,Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God (1 Corinthians 2:12).
You cannot enter into this blessing if you are not born of water and of the Spirit for It is written that He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32) .
God bless you in Jesus name Amen.
