24 Jun GRACE FOR SERVICE
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear (Hebrews 12:28)
It is because you are under grace that is why you are able to serve God acceptably. It is written But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me (1 Corinthians 15:10) This is exceeding abundant grace ( 1 Timothy 1:14) As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God (1 Peter 4:10). You need exceeding abundant grace and the manifold grace of God to be able to make full use of your talents, render ungrudging hospitality and serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
SERVE
- S -Servant: And He sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all (Mark 9:35). This requires humility.
- E -Entertain Strangers: Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares (Hebrews 13:2)
- R-Render Service by Love: For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another (Galatians 5:13)
- V -Volunteer your Gifts: Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal (1 Corinthians 12:4-7)
- E-Exhortation: But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin (Hebrews 3:13)
Confession
