H-HUMILITY

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up (James 4:10)

Humility is a core Christian virtue essential for Christ-like character. Humble submission to God counters pride, fostering repentance and dependence on Him.

HUMILITY

  • H-Heart Surrendered to God: Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time (1 Peter 5:6).
  • U -Unselfish Service: Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves (Philippians 2:3).
  • M- Mind of Christ Daily: Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5).
  • I -In Lowliness Dwell: Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5).
  • L-Learning Obedience: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8).
  • I-Integrity through Service: Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others (Philippians 2:4).
  • T- Teaching by Example: With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love (Ephesians 4:2).
  • Y -Yielding to God’s Will: For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that (James 4:15).
