05 Jun THE ACTS OF THE SPIRITUAL CHRISTIAN (TESTIMONY)
Dearly Beloved may the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23) Amen.
✓ TESTIMONY
And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed Him that he might be with Him. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel (Mark 5:18-20).
According to the uniform testimony of the Scripture The LORD gave the word: great was the company of those that published it (Psalm 68:11) and it was published and must be published for as it is written He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). That same healing and deliverance is still available today as it was yesterday. You must understand that the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12) for the voice of the LORD is powerful; and the voice of the LORD is full of majesty (Psalm 29:4) and it is written For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast (Psalm 33:9). The spiritual Christian knows this truth like the centurion who knew and said to our Lord Jesus Christ The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed (Mathew 8:8) and the testimony of the New Testament is that And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour (Mathew 8:13).
✓ Things Worthy of Testimony
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:1-5).
• Bless The LORD
Today and every day you will Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and (say) blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise (Nehemiah 9:5).
• All That Is Within Me
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also (1 Corinthians 14:15).
• Forget Not All His Benefits
Blessed be the LORD, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. (Psalm 68:19).
• Who Forgiveth All Thine Iniquities
If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O LORD, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared (Psalm 130: 3-4).
• Who Healeth All Thine Diseases
Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed (1 Peter 1:24).
• Who Redeemeth Thy Life from Destruction
It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22-23).
• Crowneth Thee with LovingKindness and Tender Mercies
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee (Isaiah 54:10).
• Who Satisfieth Thy Mouth With Good Things
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it (Psalm 81:10).
As God Almighty fills your mouth with good thing you will O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him (Psalm 34:8)
• So That Your Youth Is Renewed
His flesh shall be fresher than a child’s: he shall return to the days of his youth (Psalm 33:25).
I will explain Psalm 105:1-5 in more details on a later date but never forget the importance of testimony in your life.
✓ The Importance of Testimony
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10).
Have you told and are you telling others of what Jesus Christ has done for you? (Mark 5:20)
We pray in the name of Jesus but how do you want God to answer your prayers for protection, preservation, provision, power and promotion when you don’t testify about Jesus Christ to other people? It is written that Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven (Mathew 10:32-33).
Psalm 91 verses 11 and 12 says that For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
I do believe that this is one of the most well-known Psalm by almost all Christians, but it is written that Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God (Luke 12:8-9).
So, if you don’t tell others about the good things Jesus Christ has done for you from your salvation, sanctification, Holy Ghost Baptism, healing, deliverance, journey mercies etc how then do you expect goodness and mercy to follow you all the days of your life? (Psalm 23:6) .
If you don’t tell others that Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved except in the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12) how do you expect Him to confess you before the angels of God? or how do you expect goodness and mercy to follow you all the days of your life (Psalm 23:6a).
Let me stop here for It is time for testimony and testimonies of Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8). His mission, mercy and miracles remain the same. His miracle of salvation, healing and deliverance is still the same.
