FAVOURED BY GOD (SUBTITLE 1) TO DO JUSTLY

A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn (Proverbs 12:2).
Here we see the contrast between the good and wicked and the Scripture gives us a short but concise and clear characteristic of a goodman for it is written He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Micah 6:7).
My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer (Psalm 45:1) however for now I will speak with my hands and tell you what it means to do justly.
✓JUSTLY
√ J – Just
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18).
To do justly is not to standstill or be stagnant or stale but to go on unto perfection (Hebrews 6:1). For
• God will not justify the wicked (Exodus 23:7)
• God will not acquit the guilty (Nahum 1:3a)
• God will not forsake the righteous (Psalm 37:25)
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Mathew 5:48)
√ U -Upright
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil (Job 1:1).
• You must not speak wickedness nor your tongue utter deceit (Job 27:4)
• Do not ever justify the wicked or remove your integrity from yourself (Job 27:5)
• Hold fast to your integrity and do not let it go (Job 27:6)
• As long as you are alive let not your heart condemn or reproach you (1 John 3:2)
√ S – Salt
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men (Mathew 5:13)
As the salt of the earth, you must be
• White and Pure – (Philippians 4:8)
• Preserve and Sweetens Relationships- (Colossians 4:6)
• Separate and Clean – (2 Corinthians 6: 14-18)
Purifying and Healing (2 Kings 2:19-21)
• Useful to Saints (Hebrews 3:13)
• Needed by Sinners (Romans 10:13-15)
• Serviceable to God as a symbol of covenant (Numbers 18:19)
•Serviceable to Man (Mathew 5:13)
√ T – Teacher
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also (2 Timothy 2:2)
• This called teaching the teacher or as it is called today, “training the trainer”.
√ L- Labourer
For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building (1 Corinthians 3:9)
As a builder you have to guide against
• The laying of a wrong foundation
• Building wrongly on a right foundation
• Damaging what has been built
√ Y -Yield
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God (Romans 6:13)
• Your body is the temple of God and not the temple of sin . Sin does not die but you must be dead to sin therefore you don’t have to gratify the flesh.
