DESTROYING THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL : PART 2

DESTROYING THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL : PART 2

✓ DEATH
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that hath the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage (Hebrews 2:14-15)
• Through Jesus Christ the dead in Christ have eternal life
✓ ENMITY
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in the ordinances; for to make in Himself of twain one man, so making peace; And that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby (Ephesians 2:13-16).
• Jesus Christ is the Prince of peace and He says
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27)
✓ POVERTY
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich (2 Corinthians 8:9)
• The devil wants to keep you in perpetual poverty but Jesus Christ came that you might have life and give you more abundant life.
✓ PRIDE
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. And being found in fashion as a man He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2 : 5-8)
• The world hates humility but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit for God exalts the humble and through humility Jesus Christ has destroyed pride which is the work of the devil
✓ SIN
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace (Romans 6:14)
• We have all received the fulness of Jesus Christ, and grace for grace and it is this grace that helps us to overcome sin.
✓ SICKNESS
Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness by whose stripes ye were healed (1 Peter 2:24).
• In the name of Jesus you are healed, only believe.
✓ SATAN
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death (Revelation 12:11)
• It is done in Jesus name Amen.
✓ TEMPTATION
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:14-15)
• Follow Jesus alone and you will not yield to temptation for we should follow His steps through the example He left us.
✓ VAIN CONVERSATION
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (1 Peter 1:18-19)
• He has redeemed also from vain conversation and evil communication
